So earlier this year, none of us Joyful Milers had much interest in registering for the 2018 runDisney Virtual Running Shorts series. One glance at our racing schedule shows that we’ve gotten rather carried away and speaking for myself, my budget has long since been blown to smithereens. In my racing goals post, however, I did say that me registering for the virtual series did depend on how cute the medals are.
Well, they’re cute.
And this is coming from someone who’s not much of an Incredibles fan, this year’s theme.
Dang. They’re REALLY cute.
I mean, seriously. Bravo to the design team! Gorgeous job!
But still, I’m forcing myself to resist, seeing as how Jackey and I are still on the fence about the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. (No, we haven’t registered yet, but we’re breaking down more and more each day.)
Super cute medals, though.
What about you?
QOTD: Will you be signing up for the 2018 runDisney Virtual Running Shorts Series when registration opens? And what do you think of these medals?
Take care and have a joyful day!
yep I am a goner as far as these medals are concerned! Don’t resist might as well go to the Disney side 😉
I think I’m in the minority, because while I enjoy the Incredibles and all the Pixar movies, I’d much prefer the classic character theme of the past two years! However, I definitely get the appeal. I may still sign up because my mom and I did the virtual races together last year and it was a ton of fun and good motivation to keep running during the hot summer months (if summer would ever get here).
Now WINE AND DINE…I can’t wait! Having done all of the WDW races, Wine and Dine is my favorite weekend for visiting the parks! Halloween and Christmas and Food and Wine Festival!
I may be in the minority, but I feel that the virtual races are another gimmick for Disney to make more money.
$142.00 for three medals is a bit steep considering Disney does not have to do much.
Still on the fence if I should sign up for the 2019 Dopey. Early signup for AP/DVC should be in about 3 weeks.
