Hello, lovelies, I hope you’re having an amazing holiday season!! Ours has been wonderful … crazy hectic, but wonderful!
Something I’ve been meaning to share is the video chat I had with Kimberly about the 2019 Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Half Marathon, an amazing race we plan on repeating next year! It was so much easier to just turn on the camera rather than include everything in a blog post! And we had lots to talk about, apparently, because it’s 32 minutes long. 😉
The short version is that we absolutely LOVED this race weekend! So much so that we’re already planning on returning next year and hopefully enlisting more of our family to do the 5k! Cooper has already said he’s in!
As I’ve mentioned before, I couldn’t run this race due to a foot sprain, so I was feeling a little bummed … well, okay, very bummed … when my corral was beginning their adventure. But a familiar lady came up beside me near the starting line to say hello to a race official. It was none other than Kathrine Switzer!
She was so lovely and sweet … what an amazing honor to meet her!
It was also amazing to chat with several friends, both at the expo, before the race and afterward. They are so amazing and inspiring!
I’m also proud of the amazing job Kimberly did. Her goal was to take it easy and just enjoy the course, which was easy to do since there was a band every two miles and many awesome spectators cheering them on! It was such a bummer not being able to run with her, but we both made the best of the day and had some fun.
Kimberly also got to dab with some fun folks who wore shark costumes! Talk about dedication!
