Tunes Tuesdays: Songs My Son Sends

You know what I love? When my youngest son, Cooper sends me texts that say, “Hey, Mom, I thought you’d like this,” along with a video link of whatever song he’s digging now. I also loved it when he created a running playlist for me to listen to while training for the 2016 WDW Dopey Challenge. Maybe not every song was my favorite. But they made me think of him which never fails to put a smile on my face and pep in my step.

So today, I’m jumping into the Tune Tuesday Blog Link Up hosted by KookyRunner, Run Steff Run and Run With No Regrets with some Songs My Son Sends Me!

Here’s some songs Cooper has sent me in the past couple of months. Oh Lord is my absolute favorite, since it’s advice given to a son who is now out in the world, just like both my college kids. And like Foxy Shazam, God knows I’ve had some rough years! Gorgeous lyrics … although be warned, there’s some spicy language.

Hope you enjoy! And for you Broadway lovers, I’ve shared my list of Favorite Broadway Songs to Run as well as my list of absolute favorites.

QOTD: What songs are you loving lately?

My Running to Broadway playlist (inspired by yours) is up to about 80 songs! Recent favorites: Opening Doors (Waitress), Sincerely, Me (Dear Evan Hansen), You Will Be Found (Dear Evan Hansen; starts slow but it picks up) and Another Day of Sun (La La Land).
