Happy Sunday, friends, I hope you’re having an amazing weekend!
Have you heard that Jackey and I have started the podcast again, after an extended break? Yes, we’re back, a little wiser, a little more relaxed, and still just as grateful for your support as ever!
Click here or on the player below to listen!
How often will there be new episodes?
We hope to share new episodes once a month … unless, of course, we’re feeling extra chatty or there’s awesome breaking runDisney news, like the return of live races! (Oh my goodness. Won’t that be amazing!) And we might pop up an extra Q&A show if there are lots of questions asked either here or in our Joyful Miles Running Club.
Otherwise, Jackey and I are keeping things more relaxed this time around, focusing on joy instead of stats, schedules, and promotion. Still together, but also individuals.
What about YouTube?
Even though I’m a structured gal who likes schedules, I’m keeping things pretty relaxed over at our YouTube channel as well, sharing tag videos, vlogs, and reviews as well as slowly working my way through past runDisney race recaps this year!
LOL, speaking of my guilt over not already sharing those past recap videos, Laura, a fellow JMRC member offered the BEST insight to me recently:
And please, don’t feel any pressure to complete those runDisney recaps! I love seeing them! And see it this way, you’re the only one who is able to upload new rundisney content these days! I love new runDisney videos, looking forward to them, brings back memories.
This gave me the biggest smile … what an awesome perspective!! And like Jackey says in the podcast, they are like wonderful memories being brought back to life.
Jackey and I might also occasionally get together for a quick chat, like we did for this Running Costume Tag … although it really wasn’t quick and good Lawd, I need to improve my audio quality!
Jackey will also continue to share occasional race recap videos as well, like the once she did last November:
So be sure to subscribe!
Joyful Miles Blog
Jackey has always preferred chatting on the podcast or inspiring others over at our Facebook Group instead of blogging, so she’s decided to not contribute to the Joyful Miles Blog. She does occasional share race recaps or BibRave product reviews on her personal blog, Buffalo Girl Running. Be sure to give her a visit!
As for me, I miss blogging, so much! What I’ve always loved the most about Joyful Miles, in general, was creating content that inspired, entertained, and educated.
Hated the promotion part. But loved the writing.
Despite this love, however, my creative courage has taken a hit over the past couple of years thanks to doubts, fear, and procrastination, which explains all the times I’ve stopped and restarted so many times. Taking a much-needed step back from social media to focus on my mental health in 2020 has been so helpful, though, and I’m excited about jumping back in!
(If you’re a mature gal or guy who is interested in skincare for aging skin, I’m starting a series about that this coming week!)
I’m also taking on the Milwordy challenge in 2021, by writing and reading a million words, so blogging here and on my author website will not only help my word count but also help open my creative floodgates!
Something else I’d love to do but is lower down on my list of priorities is giving this blog a much-needed makeover. I’m craving a simpler, lighter theme as well as easier topic navigation. If you have any input, I’d gladly welcome it!

Other Social Media Sites
Okay, I’ve never been much of a Twitter gal, so our Joyful Miles Twitter account has always been a bit of a dud. So for now, we’re not sharing any links there or posting new Tweets. I’m also half thinking about deleting my personal running account since it’s nothing but crickets there!
Jackey does have a great Twitter feed that you can find by clicking here!
I have an author account that I should be more active on since the writing community on Twitter is AMAZING. Eh, maybe later on. For now, you can hear the crickets here.
Either Jackey or I will be engaging on the Joyful Miles Instagram page when we have new content! Otherwise, you can find Jackey here or pop by my running/Disney account! I also have a writing one, but it’s currently in the cricket zone as well. For now. 😉
That’s it for now!
Thank you so much for reading this and as we stated in the podcast, both Jackey and I are thankful for your continued support! Take care and have a joyful day!
